Famously regarded as the gateway to North-East India, Guwahati is the largest city in the state of Assam. Guwahati has its cultural significance, as it is home to the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites in India. Lakhs of pilgrims and tourists throng to this holy site during the Ambubachi Mela each year. Apart from the Temple of Kamakhya, other sacred temples such as Umananda and Navagraha are also present in the city.

  • Starting from Chennai you will arrive at Guwahati. Private pick and transfer from Guwahati to Shillong. Distance is 95 Kms and travel time is 3hrs.

  • Hotel check in. Arrive in Shillong and check in at the hotel. You will visit Shillong Peak which is the highest point of Shillong. Later you will visit Elephant Falls which is Located in the Upper Shillong 11  kms away and travel time is 40 mins from the Shillong town it is one of the majestic waterfalls in Meghalaya.

  • Return to hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.

  • Have breakfast and depart for a day trip at Mawlynnong. The Village has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in India. Distance is 78 kms and travel time is 2:30 hrs.

  •  You will visit Living Root bridge, Mawlynnong Waterfalls, Double decker roots bridge.

  • Return to Shillong to hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.

  •   Have breakfast and depart for a day trip to Cherrapunjee. Distance is 56 kms and travel time is 1:30 hrs. Cherrapunji offers a panoramic view of the hilly terrains, deep valleys with its spectacular waterfalls.

  • You will visit Nohkalikai falls, Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park is situated 12 km from Cherrapunjee. The park is the house of various orchids and birds. One can see the panoramic view of the plains of Bangladesh on a clear day.

  • Later you will visit Nohsngithiang Falls, Dainthlen waterfall: Dainthlen waterfall, located at a distance of 5 km from Cherrapunjee, is one of the most popular waterfalls.

  • Return to Shillong to hotel and overnight stay at Shillong.

  • Have breakfast and hotel check out. You will visit Wards lake, The Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Cultures which is Asia’s largest for its kind. Later you will travel for Nameri National Park. The distance is 285 kms and 5:30 hrs of travel time.

  • Arrive and hotel check in at Eco Camp, Nameri National Park. 

  • Have breakfast and you will watch the bird watching trip into the dense jungle of Nameri National Park with the forest guards. Hotel check out. Later you will depart to Dirang. Distance is 160 kms and travel time is 4hrs.

  • En route to Dirang you will visit Tipi Orchid Sanctuary and Research Center, Nag Mandir

  • Arrive at Dirang and Hotel check in for overnight stay at Dirang.

  •         Have breakfast and you will visit Dirang Dzong Fort, Kalachakra Monastery is a 500 years old Buddhis Gompa. It belongs to the Gelugpa school of Tibbetan Buddhism.

  • Return to hotel for Overnight stay at Dirang. 

  •   Have breakfast, hotel checkout travel to Guwahati. Distance is 200kms and travel time is 6hrs.

  • Upon arrival, hotel check in at Guwahati and Visit Kamakhya Temple.

  • Return to hotel and overnight stay at Guwahati.

  • Have breakfast, you will visit Barapani/Umiam Lake. You can take part in water sports activities such as speed boats, sailboats and water scooters.

  • Hotel check out and travel to the airport for departure.
