Tour Itinerary

Morning/Afternoon : Arrive at Varanasi (Lal Bahadur Shastri) Airport (VNS). A clean and well maintained AC luxurious car will transfer you to your hotel. After checking in and refreshing, you’ll have some time to relax and prepare for the evening’s main event.

Afternoon : Begin your exploration with a walk through the bustling lanes of the old city. These narrow streets are an experience in themselves, filled with shops selling religious artifacts, Banarasi silk sarees, and local street food. You can visit some of the prominent temples, such as the Annapurna Devi Temple and the Vishalakshi Temple, located in close proximity to the main ghats.

Evening (The Highlight) : Head to Dashashwamedh Ghat for the world-famous Ganga Aarti. The spectacle, performed by a group of young priests, involves synchronized movements with brass lamps, chanting, and the ringing of bells. You can watch the ceremony from the steps of the ghat or, for a more immersive experience, take a boat ride on the river. This is the ultimate spiritual and sensory experience of Kashi.

Night Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Early Morning (The USP): Wake up early and take a dawn boat ride on the River Ganges. This is a magical experience as you witness the sunrise and the city’s inhabitants performing their morning rituals. You’ll see devotees taking a holy dip in the river, priests performing prayers, and the cremation ceremonies at Manikarnika Ghat, which holds immense religious significance. The boat ride offers a unique perspective of the ghats and the vibrant life that revolves around the river.

Morning : After the boat ride, take a holy dip in the Ganges if you wish, and then proceed to the new Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is a magnificent modern structure located within the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus.

Afternoon : Visit the famous Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and the Durga Temple. You can also explore the Bharat Mata Temple, which features a relief map of India carved out of marble instead of an idol.

Evening : Enjoy some leisure time for shopping for local Banarasi silk sarees, a specialty of the region, or trying out local delicacies like ‘Lassi‘ and ‘Malaiyo‘.

Night : Overnight stay at the hotel.

Morning : After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Proceed for a half-day excursion to Sarnath, located about 10 kilometers from Varanasi. Sarnath is a crucial site for Buddhists, as it is where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment.

Highlights of Sarnath :

  • Dhamek Stupa: A massive and impressive stupa.
  • Ashoka Pillar The remnants of the pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka.
