Dalhousie and Dharamshala are popular for their possibilities of own time, own pace leisure activities. Short drives open up vistas of classic mountain ranges, covered with pine and deodhar. On the urban side, these are reminiscent of British colonial times, with fine samples of architecture, that add to the ambience.
Handicrafts makeshopping interesting. They are just great to hang out. Dharamshala, the residence of the exiled Dalai Lama allows visitors to familiarize with Tibetan medicine and monastery culture, without heading too far out.
DAY 1: Transfer to DALHOUSIE
Our representative will meet you and organize transfer to Dalhousie (from Pathankot 80 km/3 hrs. From Chandigarh 318 km/8 hrs). Night stay at Dalhousie.
DAY 2: Explore DALHOUSIE
- Fill up on breakfast and move out to enjoy Panchpula, Subhash Baoli on the outskirts.
- Later, visit St. John’s Church and St. Francis Church for a peace of a different kind.
- Night stay Dalhousie.
DAY 3: Around DALHOUSIE
Today venture a bit further to Khajjar , for the virgin forest views that have earned the place the moniker of ‘Mini Switzerland’. Night stay at Dalhousie.
DAY 4: Shift to DHARAMSALA
- Experience the mountains first hand, as you drive to Dharamshala (143 km/4 hrs).
- Spend a relaxed afternoon at the hotel and experiment with Tibetan cuisine for dinner, at your will. .
DAY 5: Sights of DHARAMSHALA
- Today the sights of McLeodganj and the Dalai Lama Temple complex will keep you engrossed.
- Drive out to the Bhasunag Falls. The Kangra Art Museum is anotherfascinating place to visit.
- Night stay Dharamshala.
DAY 6: Return journey CHANDIGARH/PATHANKOT
Post breakfast, it’s time for the return journey, refreshed after the leisure break.
