Back in 2013, when my mother visited me in the US to help with my kids, my father’s health was not very good. My mom was constantly worried about him. During that time, we went to the Sai Baba Temple in Chicago, where I prayed sincerely:

“Baba, if my dad’s health improves, I will cook prasadam for devotees in the temple.”

After a few weeks, when we traveled to India, my father’s health started improving and he became normal again. I was deeply grateful to Sai Baba for answering my prayers.

Fulfilling My Oath

Soon, the time came to fulfill my promise. I thought I only had to cook prasadam for about 5 to 6 devotees, which seemed simple. So, I registered my name at the temple.

The day before going, I mentioned this to a friend, and she told me she also had a similar vow but hadn’t registered.

The next day, when I reached the temple, the pujari guided me to the kitchen. To my surprise, I learned I had to cook prasadam for 100 people, with at least two varieties of dishes. At first, I was shocked and worried—how could I manage this?

But Baba sent my friend to help me. Together, we cooked and served prasadam to all devotees. That day, I realized Baba is always there to guide and support us. Since then, I have believed wholeheartedly that Sai Baba is always protecting me and my family.
